Kahrs range are divided into collections which have a variety of finishes and wood grades and number of strips per plank are described below.The 15mm Collection

Kahrs Marina Collection: A fabulous collection of four Ships decking style floors in contrasting woods.
Kahrs Harmony Collection: A collection of 3-strip country grade stained Oak floors 200mm wide.
Kahrs Sand Collection: A discrete collection of whitened Ash and Oak floors.
Kahrs Heritage Collection: A delightful collection of stained Oak Floors in 187 width and Nature oil finish.
Kahrs Provence Collection*: A variety of stained Oak floors in a 125mm width. *note these floors are 14mm.
Kahrs Classic Nouveau Collection: A collection of Stained Oak in a Matt Lacquered finish brushed and bevelled for a timeless finish highlighting the grain of the wood.

Kahrs have been making wood flooring for over 150 years. Kahrs are based in Sweden, but operate throughout the world. Kahrs have adopted an ecological approach to production which runs through everything they do. The wood used by Kahrs comes almost entirely from Scandanavia and Europe, where new growth exceeds that which is harvested. Their production has for more than two decades been solvent free to avoid impact on waste water and air. Furthermore Kahrs construction allows more full advantage to be taken of each log using fewer resources than single solid floor production. This approach earned the ISO 14001 environmental management certification almost a decade ago. It demonstrates the level of dedication that allows Kahrs to create and produce floors that are not only beautiful but also contribute to the well being of generations to come.
Kahrs floors come in a range of thicknesses, the two most prominent are 15mm and 7mm. These are then subdivided into species, Oak, Walnut, Birch, Beech, Ash, Cherry, Rosewood, Jatoba, Merbau and Jarrah. Kahrs floors come in a 3 strip options, 1, 2 and 3, as well as some more exotic patterns, for example Dutch Block Pattern. Lastly the grade of the wood is considered and range from City grade which is very clean with little or no great variation in colour of wood, to Town, which will have more colourful character in the graining and finally Country shows all the full character with knots and other features in the wood. The final consideration when choosing Kahrs Floors is the surface finish. The floors generally come with options of Satin Lacquer, Matt lacquer and Nature Oil, as well as options for Brushed and Bevelled finishes which create a wealth of options and looks.
Kahrs Flooring as well as having a range of wood species, have developed a number of 'Oak' ranges which are treated with different coloured stains so as to meet the needs of designers and consumers, broadening the available pallet of shades to blend with overall room schemes. These include Classic Nouveau Collection, with White, Bronze, Black Brown, Grey and Charcoal, Provence Collection, with Nature, Cognac, Expresso and White. Both of these collections have brusted and Bevelled finishes to feature the beauty of the grain. Also in the Kahrs Flooring range is a Herritage Collection which have a Nature Oil finish and come in a Wasa, Romanov, Valois, Plantagenet, and Austarian style. There are some new Kahrs Flooring Collections coming out in the winter 09/Spring 10. These will feature new extra large planks as well as new finishing. Please call for details.
